The rubber buffer is located in the shock absorber mount in the engine housing and serves as an elastic mount between the engine block and the suspension strut. As a result, vibrations are absorbed cleanly and the lower mounting of the shock absorber is relieved. The enclosed bushing ensures a clean fit of the fastening screw in the lower mount.
