Polini has placed particular emphasis on size and weight in the development of the CP model; this carburettor has therefore become particularly compact and around 40% lighter than traditional carburettors.
Due to the compact design, the intake path is very short. Unique is the concentric design of the passage, i.e. a circular passage instead of an oval one as with most other carburettors - a geometry that optimizes the air flow. Modifications to the mixing tube and the use of a larger needle ensure better atomization of the gas mixture.
This should simplify the tuning of the carburettor and enable high performance with low consumption. All CP carburettors have an oil and vacuum connection.
The choke is located directly on the carburettor and must be operated manually.
