The rollers are embedded in a silver-plated bearing ball. The silver-plated bearing race has the following advantages:
- The oil film adheres better to the surface
- Better heat dissipation
- Better emergency running properties
Note: For crankshafts with a pressed-in connecting rod bushing, a needle roller and cage assembly cannot be used retroactively.
